You can’t miss this striking workshop-gallery, Atelier Paulownia with its old-style shop front. The area is shared by artist, Claudia Morand and ukelele maker, Vincent Tarrerias (Tia Ukulélé) and their worlds combine to generate an environment rich in artistic and musical expression.
Vincent Tarrerias is passionate about his craft and every one of his instruments is a unique masterpiece with its own special feel. Vincent is also a carpenter making a range of items in wood. He works on commission and can meet you to discuss your needs.
Claudia Morand is an artist and author and a member of a national guild of artists called the Maison des Artistes. Neo-expressionism is strong in her work and rather than using synthetic paint, she prefers to make her own colours and build layers that will produce form, texture and colour. Her work is full of symbolic imagery, sometimes combined with poetic, organic prose. Visitors can enjoy admiring her work in the gallery. Claudia also runs painting classes and courses, her intent being to encourage artistic expression and personal development. As a singer, Claudia also offers vocal coaching sessions.
